Single-phase endurance bench

This single-phase endurance test bench is used for testing underground cables and accessories. It simulates a network of 2.5MVA – 1.2kV – 2kA.

Normative tests generally require that the temperature of the conductors be raised to 100 ° C. at each heating cycle.

To measure the core temperatures directly of the conductors, a control loop is used which serves as the master of the current regulation.

The second loop is servo-controlled without being equipped with thermocouples. It can therefore be subjected to high voltage for complete endurance testing.
